3. Investment Banking Services

What are IBA services?

IBA Services stands for FINAPORT’s Investment Banking Services, which comprise the Advisory Services and Private Markets divisions.

What Advisory Services are offered?

The Advisory Services division provides assistance to clients in all matters related to mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, strategic initiatives, financing solutions, and initial public offerings (IPO).

What exactly are Private Market Services?

Private Markets (or Alternative Investments) is an umbrella term for capital investments that are not publicly available through a stock exchange. Private markets include investments in companies that are not listed on a stock exchange (private equity), bonds that are not listed on a stock exchange (private debt), and unlisted infrastructure investments (private infrastructure) and real estate projects (private real estate).

Why should I invest in private markets?

Private markets offer a high-yield alternative to stock market investments. For a long time, private markets investments were reserved for institutional investors such as pension funds or family offices. Private investors can diversify their portfolio by investing in private markets and thus improve the risk/return ratio. Especially in times of low interest rates and low returns in the traditional financial markets, it is worthwhile to consider private markets investments. For investors with a long investment horizon, private markets investments can offer a very attractive option for long-term asset growth.

What are the investment opportunities in this area?

Private markets comprise a very broad range of investment opportunities, which often appear complex and opaque to private investors. FINAPORT offers its clients independent advice and enables them to invest in selected private markets investments at preferential conditions. In addition, FINAPORT has developed its own investment funds, through which its clients can invest in sophisticated investment strategies and that give them the opportunity to invest alongside FINAPORT partners.

How does the IBA Services team cooperate with Wealth Management?

The IBA Services team works closely with the Wealth Management division and acts as a sparring partner for all issues in the areas of advisory services and private markets. The central contact person for the client always remains the responsible relationship manager. We are also happy to offer independent advice to private individuals and companies who do not yet have a business relationship with FINAPORT.
